Despite all the injuries the Eagles have had to deal with, the team still has potential, and the offense was able to finish multiple extended drives with a touchdown last week against Dallas. Unfortunately, it was the defense that underwhelmed last week, and they'll have another challenge on Sunday night against the Commanders.
The NFC East isn't totally out of reach just yet, but a loss on Sunday certainly feels like it would put a cap on the team's potential — although having to watch this team in the playoffs might be it's own punishment.

The Eagles have had bad luck on game days throughout the season, but with depth already a huge issue, here's hoping that at a minimum, they get out of Sunday's game without losing any more critical pieces.

Q2 [PHI 10 – WAS 10]: Stefon Diggs finally scored the first touchdown of the game for the Commanders on an eight-yard pass by Jayden Daniels.
Q1 [PHI 10 – WAS 3]: The Commanders finally got on the board just before the end of the first quarter thanks to a 56 yard field goal by Drew Stevens.
Q1 [PHI 10 – WAS 0]: MORE POINTS! The Eagles defense got a takeaway — Andrew Mukuba forced a fumble that was recovered by Zack Baun — and the offense was actually able to capitalize on the opportunity with a Saquon Barkley touchdown off a direct snap. Creativity and execution can do wonders!
Q1 [PHI 3 – WAS 0]: Well, the Eagles were forced to settle for a field goal, but did put up the first points of the day with a 40-yarder from Jake Elliott.
