Arizona State fans are used to seeing their head coach, Kenny Dillingham, on college football head coach candidate lists for other schools, with Dillingham most recently linked to Michigan.
But the ASU football coach is now linked to another school's recent coaching vacancy, at least according to some early head coach candidate lists for Florida State .
The Seminoles fired Mike Novell on Nov. 1, and Dillingham, a former offensive coordinator at Florida State, was instantly connected to the position by some national outlets.
Check out what they are saying about the Sun Devil football coach's potential candidacy for the Florida State coaching job.

(Rob Gray/Imagn Images) ESPN : Kenny Dillingham would bring 'fresh approach' to Florida State It writes: "Like Lashlee, Dillingham is unlikely to leave a good situation for an uncertain one in Tallahassee. He's also very close to Norvell, which could impact his interest level. But he spent 2020 and 2021 as Florida State's offensive coordinator and understands the challenges and opportunities at the program. He led Arizona State to a Big 12 title and a playoff appearance in 2024, but the Sun Devils have fallen off since. Dillingham, 36, would bring a fresh approach toward personnel along with his experience from Oregon, Auburn and elsewhere."
Bryan Fischer writes: "Dillingham doesn't want to leave his alma mater, but if ever an opening could get school officials at Arizona State nervous, it might be this job popping up after the past few years of the coach complaining about resources. The former Seminoles assistant would be a great fit here if he can be convinced he'll get what it takes to truly compete for multiple rounds of the CFP."

Brandon Marcello writes: "Dillingham brings an offensive mind and a fresh approach. He seems frustrated at times at ASU, and has gone public about wanting more financial muscle behind his program. He's coaching his hometown school, and his close relationship with Norvell could complicate any conversation."
Adam Kramer writes: "He loves Arizona State, although he did flirt with the Michigan job this past offseason. It hasn't exactly gone great with the Sun Devils this fall, although that shouldn't deter any interest Florida State might have. It could, however, prompt Dillingham to look at his current gig and reconsider leaving a place he clearly cares greatly about."

Christian D'Andrea writes: "Dillingham was Norvell's offensive coordinator early, designing the playbook in 2020 and 2021 before moving on to Oregon for one season, then taking the top job at Arizona State. A 3-9 2023 gave way to an 11-win 2024 that earned a Big 12 title and turned Cam Skattebo into a household name. That was the Sun Devils' first 11-win season in nearly three decades, cementing his bona fides as a rising star even if he's only 4-4 in 2026."
