After an impressive NBA Cup win over the Hornets, holding the opponent to only 79 (!) points, they now face arguably a hungry Orlando team that hasn't had a great start to their season (2-3 record so far).

In fact, the Wizards are coming with a better record (3-3).

How to listen: The Team 980 AM, 106.7-2 FM

Wizards: Jamir Watkins, Justin Champagnie, and Tristan Vukcevic.

Magic: Izaiyah Nelson, Jalen Suggs, Jonathan Isaac, Noah Penda, and Paolo Banchero.

The Wizards are at .500 — The Wizards are back, after a good number of years to being a league average team. You can see that in many of their stats (defensive and offensive) and you can also see it from their split record 3-3. This is a big improvement already, although obviously there is still a lot of room for progress.

This is a must win for the Magic — The Magic consider themselves as a borderline contender, and so given the lukewarm start to their season (for instance, a 30 point loss to the Raptors) they are definitely looking to win this one, and not enter into a 2-4 record hole. Their potential for explosiveness is there, as was on display in their relative easy win over the champions, the Knicks, last week.

Defense — The Wizards have dramatically improved their defense. This was on full display against the Hornets, that were not able to cross the 80 point line. Can they keep it up against the very dynamic Magic?
