Queen Camilla Did Not Wear a Tiara at the White House State Dinner

Queen Camilla chose a striking outfit for aWhite House State Dinnerthis evening, complete with aglittering royal heirloom necklace. However, there was one piece of jewelry missing that royal watchers may have been looking out for—a tiara.

Town & Country

Camilla did not wear a tiara tonight, in a move that is a departure from Queen Elizabeth’s choice of dress for her four State Visits to the U.S. There was no explanation offered from Buckingham Palace about the reason for this choice. However, if Camilla had chosen to wear one, unlike at UK State Banquets where all the senior royals wear tiara, she would likely have been the only person there tonight in a tiara.

When Queen Elizabeth made the last State Visit by a British monarch to the U.S in 2007, she wore her favored Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara for a White House dinner in her honor. In 1991 she wore a sapphire Tiara often referred to as the Belgian Sapphire Tiara, in 1976 she wore a Kokoshnik tiara once owned by Queen Alexandra, and in 1957, she wore the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara.

While Queen Elizabeth always wore a tiara to White House state dinners, it is worth remembering that while Camilla is also a Queen, her position is different. Camilla is not a sovereign Queen; her husband King Charles is the one who is head of state.

On her arrival in to the U.S. on Monday, Camilla used a piece of her jewelry to pay tribute to her hosts, in a move that is often described as “diplomatic dressing" she chose aCartier brooch with the Union flag and Stars and Stripeson it which was given to Queen Elizabeth on her 1957 State Visit.

  • At PaleyFest LA 2026, Park revealed the thing she “will never forget” about shooting their on-screen squabble

  • The actress also said that her and Collins’ Emily in Paris characters are “inspired” by their off-screen friendship

In the latest season ofEmily in Paris,Ashley Park’s character pelts her friend with baked goods. It’s not a moment that will leave Park's head any time soon.

Season 5, whicharrived on Netflix in December, sees Mindy Chen (Park) hurling croissants at on-screen bestie Emily Cooper, portrayed by her off-screen friendLily Collins. At PaleyFest LA 2026, Park opened up to PEOPLE about the fight — and the part of it that she “will never forget.”

Asked about the scuffle at the festival’sEmily in Parispanel on April 10, Park told PEOPLE, “Oh my gosh. Well, that was actually interesting, because we always say that so much of our characters are inspired very much by our own friendship. Like, we’ve never had a fight like that.”

Park, 34, continued, “We’ve never had a conversation like that. We communicate very well, and we’re like, ‘Oh, I guess this is the time where our characters can kind of learn this lesson.’ ”

As for the actual physics of the pastry fight, Park explained that “croissants are very light, so in order to aim it properly, you have to really chuck it hard. And so I was not aiming it correctly so well. I think the take that they use, I really chucked it at her.”

“I will never forget the imprint of croissant crumbs on her face,” she said of Collins, 37, before recalling how the actresses would check in with each other between takes: “And to do that to her friend — we had to stop. I was like, ‘Are you okay?’ ”

Park also told PEOPLE that before their on-screen squabble, she and Collins “were almost resistant to that storyline and tiff between them, but we really grew to be excited about it, because I think that having altercations or conflict with people that you care about, and being able to communicate through it, only makes you stronger.”

An additional layer to the story — well, besides the flaky ones in the croissants themselves — was the fact that theEmily in Parisstars’ relatives were in town as they filmed the fight, Park said.

“What was difficult — what was interesting — is that actually that scene with the croissant was the first time our parents ever visited Paris, and so they were on set with us that day,” she told PEOPLE at PaleyFest LA. “So that was already fun. But, I mean, we were laughing so hard.”

“What was difficult about that was not necessarily the acting part — it was actually a fun challenge for us — and it felt like we were stepping into our characters, rather than just bringing ourselves into it,” she continued. “But we were filming along this end, there [were] boats going by, shouting our names, with people on it — tourists.”

But the distraction seemingly proved to be a welcome addition to the intense scene, with Park recalling, “I think they actually used that take in it.”

Collins told PEOPLE at the season 5 premiere thatfilming a different scene with her on-screen BFF left her in tears. “One of my most fun moments was shooting the scene with Ashley where we have our face masks on and we couldn’t stop laughing — we were crying,” Collins shared, adding, “It’s always fun with Ashley.”

“Going to Venice was epic, you know, I’ve never been to Venice, so shooting with Ashley in the streets of Venice was really magical,” she added of her longtime costar.

Emily in Parishas beenrenewed for a sixth seasonfollowing the success of the latest season. Production for the show's latest installment begins in May, with the cast and crewheading to Greece and Monaco to film, Netflix previously confirmed to PEOPLE.

Sarah Ferguson's Stay at Luxury Resort Is Not What It Looks Like — Source

After months of hiding following her controversy,Sarah Fergusonwas finally spotted at a luxury ski resort in Austria. While many were surprised to think of the former royal spending money at a luxury resort, a source hinted that it is not what it looks like. As per the tipster, the former Duchess of York is believed to be living out of staff quarters to keep a low profile amid scandal.

Sarah Ferguson believed to be living out of staff quarters at Austrian resort, per source

Sarah Ferguson wasspotted for the first time in seven monthsat an exclusive resort in Austria amid the ongoing controversy. The former Duchess of York has been photographed at a luxury ski village in Austria, wearing a blue coat and pants with hair tucked in. Her outfit choice reflected that it was “carefully chosen to help her avoid being recognised.”

While it was earlier believed that the firmer royal is living in a luxurious place, sources have now toldRadarOnlinethat it might not be the case. Ferguson is believed to be living out of staff quarters at the resort to keep a low profile. “From the outside, it looks like she is staying in one of the resort’s most exclusive chalets, but the reality is far more modest. There is a growing belief that she is actually based in staff accommodation,” revealed a source.

The tipster added, “Living in staff quarters would allow her to maintain a presence at the resort” since scrutiny around her circumstances is intensifying. Moreover, with this move, she is “disappearing from view at a moment when attention on her is at its highest.” Thus, staying somewhere discreet in a basic accommodation reportedly helps the former royal member “avoid the kind of visibility” that would come if she had chosen a “more conventional luxury stay.”

Ferguson’s stay in the Alps is understood to be part of a broader pattern of temporary arrangements. “There has been a deliberate effort to obscure where she is and how she is living, and only a very small group of people know the full details,” noted the source.

Missing 5-year-old Australian girl believed to be abducted, say police

A five-year-old girl missing in the outback inAustralia’sNorthern Territoryis believed to have been abducted, police officials said in the latest update on her disappearance on Monday.

The Independent US

The girl, identified as Sharon Granites by the police, was last seen on Saturday when she was put to bed in her family home just before midnight.

“Around 1.35am on Sunday morning, police received reports that Sharon could not be located at her residence on Marshall Court, Old Timers Camp,Alice Springs. It is believed she was last seen around 11:30pm on Saturday evening,” the NT police said in a statement.

Police conducted an initial search of the area utilising extensive resources but were unable to locate Sharon, the statement added.

Officers resumed search operations on foot on Monday morning after they were unable to locate the girl overnight.

NT police’s acting commander, Mark Grieve, said a man who was staying at the camp and vanished around the same time could be involved and the authorities were searching for him.

Investigators said they were looking for 47-year-old Jefferson Lewis, who was recently released from prison.

“Police are seeking public assistance to locate 47-year-old male, Mr Jefferson Lewis, who police believe can assist with enquires,” the police said. Officers and volunteers have checked the nearby bush for the child.

Commander Grieve has asked anyone aware of any information related to the case to contact the police. He added that the man was known to authorities on complaints of domestic abuse and family violence-related offences.

“He currently remains one of the few people who were in Old Timers camp at the time and who has not made themselves known to police, nor have police been able to locate him,” he said.

The officials first confirmed Sharon’s disappearance on Sunday morning around 6.43am. They said the police force “holds concerns for the welfare of 5-year-old Sharon who was reported missing from Alice Springs overnight”.

“She was last seen wearing a dark blue short sleeve T-shirt with a white ring stripe around neck and white ring stripe around the end of the sleeves, and a pair of black boxer style underwear,” the statement said.

Two photos of the child shared by the police showed the five-year-old girl seated in a chair and with a backpack.

They also shared visuals of Mr Lewis from body-worn police footage in the Old Timers camp when they were there on Saturday evening for an unrelated incident. He is seen wearing a yellow shirt and army camouflage pants.

Commander Grieve said it is a “terrible situation to have such a young child go missing”.

"We're over 24 hours now so it'd certainly be my worst nightmare as a parent,” he added.

"We want to find Sharon healthy and we want to get her back to her family," Mr Grieve said.

Lewis, sought in the case, has a long history of violence and prison time, reported ABC News.

He was sentenced to more than five years in prison over the past decade for separate, serious violence-related offences, the report added.
